This will be the last heritage workshop before a summer break! More of a lecture than a workshop join us in celebrating 130 of the Michener House, and Lacombe, as we look back to the early settlement of our community. We will showcase the early settlement of Lacombe with photos from our collection, share stories about the people who shaped the community, and briefly answer the question: “How do we know all of this?”. This presentation is a small part of our celebrations for the grand re-opening of the Michener House Museum after it was closed in 2023 to undergo renovations, and to help us open a new exhibit curated by the Lacombe Museum, “Edwardian Era in the West“.
If there is a heritage topic that you want to learn more about let us know! We may be able to include it later in the year.
Please RSVP via [email protected] or 403-782-3933. The suggested minimum donation for the workshop is $5.
