Artist Submissions at Lacombe Museum
Welcome to Lacombe Museum’s Artist Submissions portal, where we invite artists of all backgrounds and experience levels to propose their works for our upcoming “Stories” Community Exhibition. At LDHS, we take pride in championing a diverse array of artistic expressions and cordially invite submissions from artists working in any medium. Our commitment to showcasing both seasoned and emerging local talent is a fundamental pillar of our mission as a community museum focused on cultures of yesterday and today.
Submission Process: All proposals undergo an evaluation process by our Exhibit Committee. If your work resonates with our mission, we will work collaboratively with you to schedule an exhibition that aligns with our gallery’s exhibit calendar. To ensure that your submission aligns with our expectations, please download the Artist Submission and Checklist for a comprehensive guide on our submission process (linked here).
Open Call Exhibition: For a broader perspective on open call exhibitions, consider participating in the 2nd annual community exhibition focused on art and photography, scheduled from March 15 to May 11, 2024. Registration is open from October 16, 2023, to December 31, 2023. The Lacombe Museum fosters an inclusive environment for artists and photographers, promoting collaboration among creators, curators, partner organizations, and audiences both locally and globally. It provides a diverse platform for lens-based practices, uniting the photographic community through innovative presentations at various venues in the downtown Lacombe area.
Community Showcase: If you seek inspiration, our Community Exhibition 2023 featured works by artists of all backgrounds. This exhibition highlighted the distinctiveness of each contributor, showcasing a range of techniques and skill levels and worked towards the sustainability of the community.
Join us in sharing your artistry with our community. Your work is an integral part of the creative tapestry we celebrate at Lacombe Museum.
