From April 28 to July 1 the Flatiron Building Museum Gallery will be hosting Country Hall, Community Hubs an exhibit by the Lacombe and District Historical Society.
Immerse yourself in the thriving communities of Lacombe County’s rural districts from their very beginnings. When neighbours banded together to build rural schools in a brand new province, through the many dances and suppers hosted in schools and community halls, to community halls as they survive today. Discover stories of community bonding, of love found, and of dance steps learned.
Country Halls, Community Hubs will connect visitors to thriving rural communities, past and present, and hopefully inspire them to build the strong communities of tomorrow.
The exhibit is open to the public on a Pay What You Can structure. More information is available on the museum’s website.
We hope to see you there!
On display at the Flatiron Building Museum from April 28 to July 1, 2023.
An exhibition curated and displayed by the Lacombe Museum & Archives.
