Every homesteader, new and old, must learn certain homesteading skills if they want to have a successful homesteading experience. These skills range from the simple to the complex.

Join us every Friday 1-4 pm at the Michener House Museum to brush up on your homesteading skills, and maybe learn a few new ones too!
If you want to learn fibre-art skills, from cleaning wool to spinning, knitting, and even looming. Or work with our Historical Interpreters in the Prairie Kitchen Garden, planted in our Accessible Plus garden beds. Our Historical Interpreters in the Lacombe Michener House Museum will lead the programs with new activities weekly.

All Skills for Homesteaders activities are free, family-friendly, and for all age levels.
Donations are welcome to assist with material costs and help us to maintain barrier-free programming.
