An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Saturday, repeating until September 3, 2022

Skills for Homesteaders at the Blacksmith Shop Museum

Every homesteader, new and old, must learn certain homesteading skills if they want to have a successful homesteading experience. These skills range from the simple to the complex.

Join us every Friday 1-4 pm at the Blacksmith Shop Museum to brush up on your homesteading skills, and maybe learn a few new ones too!

From blacksmithing to gold panning, with dip-candle making and punch lantern activities as well. Our Historical Interpreters in the Lacombe Blacksmith Shop Museum will lead the programs with new activities weekly.

All Skills for Homesteaders activities are free, family-friendly, and for all age levels.

Donations are welcome to assist with material costs and help us to maintain barrier-free programming.
